About the Alliance
In 2004, the Alliance of Florida Land Trusts (AFLT) was launched through a collaborative effort to improve the land conservation community`s communications and its capacity for effective advocacy and statewide conservation. In 2025, AFLT formally incorporated into a 501(c)3 not-for-profit entity to better serve its member organizations, which include both land trusts and affiliated conservation organizations.
The mission and purpose of AFLT is to serve as a liaison between other not-for-profit entities including land trusts and governmental entities and others to strengthen land trusts’ ability to protect and conserve land and water in Florida by facilitating information exchange and encouraging collaboration among Florida land trusts and land trust partners.
Collectively, we represent the voice of Florida's land conservancies, and are working in unison to conserve land throughout the State of Florida.
